WFH to offset case increase from schools reopening: Vic health chief
Victorians are set to stay working from home for the foreseeable future, with the state’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton saying he has no intention of changing current recommendations to work remotely “at this point in time”.
Appearing before a state parliamentary committee that investigates decisions made by the government under its pandemic powers, Professor Sutton said returning to in-person work for non-essential industries was too risky while the highly infectious omicron variant was still the dominant virus strain in the community, despite falling COVID-19 case numbers.
