Bonza says it will fly eight jets, up to 40 routes in first year

Incoming domestic airline challenger Bonza will operate eight jets in its first year of operation – leased entirely from owner 777 Partners’ fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft – and operate on up to 40 routes, chief executive Tim Jordan says.

In a bullish pitch to the CAPA Aviation Asia-Pacific Summit on Wednesday, Mr Jordan said low-cost carriers were only operating on 58 domestic routes in 2019 – the same as was operated in 2010 – when the number of low-cost routes in the US had more than doubled.
