Tesla’s market value tops $US1trn on Hertz order

Shares in Tesla leapt 12.7 per cent in New York after Hertz said it had placed an order for 100,000 of the electric carmaker’s vehicles.
The company’s market valuation topped $US1 trillion ($1.3 trillion) in early afternoon trade.
