APA Group has won the battle, and now we can get on with the $17 billion war for control of AusNet.

The Takeovers Panel has sided with APA Group’s argument that the agreement under which AusNet gave Brookfield exclusive due diligence late last month was anti-competitive because it contained confidentiality deed that meant AusNet could not respond to a competing proposal from another suitor, even one with a superior bid.
