No guarantee Australia will hit 80pc jabbed rate, says John Frewen

The general in charge of Australia’s vaccine rollout says there is no guarantee the nation will hit the 80 per cent adult vaccination rate this year and has not ruled out the use of incentives should a final push be required.

With 36 million doses of Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines to be available over this and the next three months, Lieutenant-General John Frewen said international experience showed that getting from 70 per cent to 80 per cent was “hard work”.
