Ongoing lockdowns in Melbourne and Sydney have thrown the auction calendar into disarray, with the major auction houses having to repeatedly postpone their traditional August sales.
The two current market leaders, Deutscher and Hackett and Smith & Singer, have not had a major auction since April and are counting on staging what should have been their August sales in late October.
