Kabul airport bombing ‘evil, calculated, inhuman’: PM
Hundreds of Australians and Afghan visaholders stranded in Kabul will now have to rely on the revival of commercial flights or risky land border crossings to get out after a deadly terrorist attack shut down the multinational airlift from the capital.
No Australian troops or officials were injured in the blast on Thursday night, with all personnel having departed on the final Royal Australian Air Force flight several hours earlier. The government has not had any reports of Australian civilians or Afghans with visas to come here being injured.
