Shipping costs blow out by 150pc as Pact scrambles

The chief executive of Pact Group, the packaging company that is 44 per cent owned by Rich Lister Raphael Geminder, says a revival of the business is on track but a blowout in shipping costs of up to 150 per cent is causing short-term headaches.
Sanjay Dayal said supply chain bottlenecks and a sharp increase in shipping costs is affecting many manufacturers in Australia and causing some anxious moments as he attempts to accelerate a reinvigoration of the business.
