PM flags indemnifying employers who don’t mandate staff vaccinations

Businesses that do no mandate vaccinations for staff could receive some protection against lawsuits claiming they are not fulfilling their duty of care, the Prime Minister says.

Scott Morrison said he had received advice that state health and safety regulators could issue statements to businesses to assure them they had not breached workplace laws by allowing staff to vaccinate voluntarily, and that states and territories were now considering the matter.
