ATO under pressure to release JobKeeper disclosure list
The first public register of large Australians companies who banked JobKeeper wage assistance payments looks set to be handed to federal Parliament by the end of August, as crossbencher Rex Patrick insists a disclosure register is needed.
Tax Commissioner Chris Jordan is under pressure from the Senate to produce a list of all firms with turnover above $10 million who received JobKeeper funds, but on Thursday said taxpayer confidentiality should be preserved and the information kept secret.
