Singapore | US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has reassured America’s south-east Asian allies the Association of South East Asian Nations remains a key regional institution, even with the revival of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue.
Some of the 10 ASEAN member countries were riled when US President Joe Biden’s first multilateral meeting after his inauguration in January was a virtual Quad Summit with leaders from Australia, Japan and India.
