Football boss at centre of alleged Westpac fraud to return from Greece

The Sydney football tycoon at the centre of fraud allegations by Westpac and French bank Société Générale will return to Australia this weekend from Greece, his lawyer says.

In the Federal Court on Wednesday, Justice Michael Lee rejected an urgent application by Forum Finance and Bill Papas to adjourn a hearing on Friday that would hear arguments about whether Westpac could appoint a provisional liquidator to the firm.
