Labor leader Anthony Albanese has moved to exploit the Coalition’s decision to dump the resources portfolio from cabinet by assuring voters in Central Queensland that Labor would never do the same.
Mr Albanese spoke directly to voters in Mackay and surrounding areas on Tuesday via an interview with the local Channel Seven news station, saying the government’s decision was “diabolical” in terms of denying the sector a voice.
