Slam brakes on clean car taxes: employers

Taxes on electric cars should not be implemented until “clean” vehicles have a foothold in the market, according to the Australian Industry Group.
The employer group’s chief executive Innes Willox said on Sunday that legislation for a distance-based road tax before the Victorian Parliament, was “putting the cart before the horse” and that more should be done to increase the use of electric vehicles.
