China calls for Western sanctions on Australia over human rights
China has accused the Morrison government of operating a concentration camp on Manus Island as officials in Beijing returned fire on Western countries critical of China’s treatment of ethnic Uighur Muslims in the Xinjiang province.
Australia is in the front line of the increasingly inflammatory rhetoric being exchanged after the United States and Europe slapped co-ordinated sanctions on Chinese officials this week over their policies in Xinjiang.
