London | The EU has dimmed the chances of Australia getting all of its order for European-made AstraZeneca COVID-19 jabs any time soon, after the bloc on Wednesday souped up its export regime to allow bans on shipments to countries with low infection rates.
Under the revamped mechanism, the EU and its member governments can block exports to countries that are rolling out jabs quickly, such as Britain, or where the pandemic is less acute, like Australia.
