Australia’s efforts to import more than 3 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines continue to be hampered, despite a third of the jabs being assigned to COVID-19 ravaged Papua New Guinea.

As the first Australian-made vaccine doses left the factory on Wednesday, Health Department officials said various attempts had been made to extract the vaccine doses contracted to Australia from the EU, but to no avail.
