Suffocating red tape is back in the sights of the Coalition, with a key lieutenant to Prime Minister Scott Morrison hauling in federal regulators as part of efforts to speed up Australia’s COVID-19 recovery.
The government has quietly called together regulators, including Tax Commissioner Chris Jordan, APRA chairman Wayne Byres and ACCC boss Rod Sims, in a new panel established to lift the performance and ensure effective implementation of Coalition policies.
