Top city hotels drop prices by up to 50pc to get bodies in beds

Five-star capital city hotels are unleashing a wave of deals up to 50 per cent off luxury rooms in the hope of exhuming tourism in metropolitan centres after the Easter break and ahead of the lucrative July school holiday period.
For several months, regional areas have ridden the “holiday here this year” boom, while city hotels have been largely starved of business other than quarantine stays.
