Decimated JPMorgan turns to LinkedIn for investment banking MD
Joe AstonColumnistJPMorgan’s investment banking team has been savagely denuded by Barrenjoey Public Relations Partners in recent weeks. Since late November, no fewer than four JPM managing directors have defected to the firm not chaired by David Gonski and not run by Matthew Grounds: Anthony Brasher, in banks and insurance; Rob Stanton in real estate; head of equity capital markets Dyson Bowditch and head of investment banking Jabe Jerram.
Barrenjoey’s hiring spree has generated more headlines than the collapse of Fannie Mae and Guy Fowler now has enough troops on his payroll to launch an offensive on the Argonne forest. Pretty soon they’ll have to do some actual deals.
