When you watch ‘Bridgerton’, you should think about the money
The hit Netflix show's historical setting doesn’t ask you to examine too deeply what enables all the extreme luxury that surrounds the characters.

Like so many period dramas, it is a portrait of opulence, and I’m curious about the ways in which Bridgerton artfully side steps just how all that wealth came to be.
