Media bosses urge government to act on code amid intense lobbying

The bosses of Australia's media businesses have co-signed an open letter urging swift action to pass new laws which will make Google and Facebook pay for the value of journalism on their platforms.

The Public Interest Journalism Initiative and Judith Neilson Institute for Journalism and Ideas also urged speedy remedy to pass the news media bargaining code through parliament.
