Barely six months since Treasurer Josh Frydenberg appointed former Tasmanian premier Will Hodgman to chair the Commonwealth’s Business Growth Fund, the position is vacant again.

We understand former NSW premier Mike Baird has now been tapped to helm the $540 million BGF, which co-invests in small and medium enterprises alongside the big four banks, Macquarie and HSBC.
