Anglo American's Mark Cutifani rules out Rio Tinto CEO job
London | Mining giant Anglo American’s Australian boss, Mark Cutifani, has ruled himself out of the top job at Rio Tinto, saying he had work to finish at the company he has helmed for seven years, and his board would be reluctant to let him go.
He’s the second top Australian mining executive to put himself on the sidelines in the search for a successor to Jean-Sebastien Jacques: gold miner Newmont’s CEO Tom Palmer said in September he already ran one of the world's great mining companies and did not regret having left Rio.
