Gary Weiss's barnstorming effort to bust into the boardroom of Cromwell Property Group has finally succeeded, after a year of rising animosity between the Brisbane-based property fund manager and its largest shareholder, Singapore's ARA Asset Management.
In his third attempt, Dr Weiss was joined by Joe Gersh, an investment banker and ABC board member, both of them nominated by ARA and voted onto the board by narrow margins of support at Friday's shareholder meeting.
