Gas reservation scheme still in wings as prices rebound

A national reservation scheme for domestic gas is still in the works, says federal Resources Minister Keith Pitt, despite concern among manufacturers about a lack of apparent movement on the issue this year as signs build that spot prices could rebound on the east coast.

Mr Pitt said the federal government was speaking with gas producers and consumers "to ensure our world-leading gas export industry continues to operate and that domestic users have the reliable and affordable gas they need".
