PM faces new Senate juggling act as Patrick goes solo

Scott Morrison's task of Senate negotiations over budget measures and industrial relations reform has become more complex after key South Australian Senator Rex Patrick quit the Centre Alliance party to become an independent.
Senator Patrick immediately indicated he would be tough to convince on the need for industrial relations changes, labelling it a "fringe" issue in the nation's post-coronavirus recovery.
