Victorians will be subjected to the harshest restrictions in the country after a state of disaster was declared imposing tough new rules, including curfews and curbs of Melburnians' movements.
After another horror weekend which saw Victoria record more than 1000 cases and 10 deaths, Premier Daniel Andrews announced Melbourne was moving to stage four restrictions on Sunday night as the state continues to battle an unrelenting spike in COVID-19 cases.
