Many vendors are selling their properties quickly before auction to take advantage of buyer demand for the small amount of stock on the market because they do not know what the future holds.

The latest auction results for the country's two biggest cities show clearance rates hovering around 60 per cent, indicating the property market is by no means strong, but also not showing signs of distress.
