London | Britain's parliament, which has become a coronavirus hotbed, is preparing to operate virtually if the pandemic is still unchecked when or if sittings are scheduled to resume on April 21.

In an extraordinary moment for the venerable Westminster institution, the Speaker of the House of Commons has said even the set-piece full-chamber events - such as Prime Minister's Questions and the scrutiny of legislation - may have to take place remotely.
