Sports rorts 'risks' raised with Morrison government
Sports Australia chairman John Wylie has confirmed his organisation warned the Morrison government over "risks" in the politicisation of controversial sports grants, amid a dual assessment process being run by former minister Bridget McKenzie.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has continued to defend the Coalition over the $100 million in grants, after an inquiry heard the final approvals were given to bureaucrats after the start of the pre-election caretaker period, when spending decisions usually stop.
