Donald Trump wants Democrats to pick Bernie Sanders so he can pillory him as a dangerous radical. But what if America is ready to elect a democratic socialist?
Between the coronavirus, sluggish economic growth, tapped-out monetary policy, deficit-driven economic growth and a president shaking the foundations of the global trading system, it's not like Americans didn't already have enough to worry about.
Now here comes Bernie Sanders, the independent "democratic socialist" whose promises of "political revolution" and a slug to the wealthy to fund healthcare and education for all have turned him into the front-runner among Democrats vying to become president.
