James Packer's $1.76 billon sale of a stake in his Crown casino empire to billionaire businessman Lawrence Ho may have given Mr Ho's banned father Stanley an "indirect stake" in Crown in breach of its NSW gambling licence.
The elder Mr Ho, 98, is banned from any involvement with Australian gambling operations due to his alleged connections to organised crime, allegations that he denies and of which he has never been convicted.
