Drought and fires converge to slow recovery

The deep drought extending over the entirety of NSW not only contributed to the disastrous fire conditions this bushfire season, but also may slow rebuilding from the blazes, experts say.
At the same time, the fires have added strain to water supplies and may limit rain absorption, challenging drought recovery.
