NSW government calls for holiday home owners to open doors to evacuees

The NSW government has called on holiday home owners to open their doors to bushfire victims who have lost their permanent houses, building on a growing online movement connecting those with spare rooms or homes with those without.

NSW Ministers Andrew Constance and Gareth Ward announced the scheme. Their respective electorates of Bega and Kiama were both ravaged by the fires.
