The gale force winds that battered NSW on Saturday have eased as have the Bureau of Meteorology's ominous warnings about severe weather and fire danger even as fires continue to burn in both NSW and Victoria.
The BOM cancelled its severe weather warning for NSW at 1am AEDT on Sunday.
