The 20 best restaurants in the world, according to private jet owners
Key Points
- Elite Traveller, a lifestyle publication for private jet owners, surveyed its readers – who are, yes, all private jet owners – about their favourite restaurants worldwide.
- Owning a private jet comes with a serious price tag, meaning the following list of top restaurants is curated by the wealthiest among us.
- Nearly all the establishments in the top 20 boast Michelin stars and specialise in multi-course tasting menus.
- The most popular culinary destinations on the list were New York City and Paris.
If private jet owners are about as wealthy as it gets, it’s safe to assume their taste is pretty expensive, too. After all, owning a private jet is “not for the mere millionaires among us”, as Business Insider’s Katie Warren wrote this year.
Private jet lifestyle publication Elite Traveller surveyed its readers about their favourite dining experiences around the world. Elite Traveller readers, for context, have an average net worth of $US32 million ($46 million) and an average home value of $US4.6 million. There are nearly 600,000 readers of the magazine, with an average age of 41, and 68 per cent own two or more homes. The average household income for an Elite Traveller reader is $US7.9 million.
