There are a number of lessons to be learned from the spate of failed initial public offerings, but it would be wrong to conclude that equity capital markets are entering a deep malaise.

There is plenty of money looking for a home. It’s just that the industry superannuation funds, self-managed super funds, active fund managers, brokers controlling discretionary accounts and family offices have become more selective amid a market-wide change in sentiment.
