It's not as gloomy as the IMF says
For all the warning signs being flagged by the IMF this week, much of the global data being released suggests that, actually, things are OK. Not outstanding, to be sure. But far from terrible.
Washington | The White House and the International Monetary Fund’s HQ - where the world’s economic managers including Josh Frydenberg are right now coming to grips with a faltering global economy - share addresses on Pennsylvania Avenue.
They’re just 700 metres apart. In reality they may as well be separate galaxies, in both intent and focus.
