PM says Liu no security risk, accuses critics of racism

Scott Morrison has satisfied himself that Gladys Liu was not a national security threat before mounting a controversial defence of the marginal seat MP which included branding those raising questions as racists.
Mr Morrison, who would risk losing his one-seat majority on the floor of Parliament if Ms Liu came to grief, lashed out at Labor, the Centre Alliance and others questioning Ms Liu's fitness to serve in Parliament as more allegations surfaced about links to Beijing.
