Morrison urges quick resolution to China feud as Trump doubles down

Biarritz, France | Prime Minister Scott Morrison has urged the US and China to call a truce in the trade war "sooner rather than later", saying the global economy was feeling the impact of the escalating conflict.

Mr Morrison emerged from an unexpectedly lengthy and wide-ranging meeting with Mr Trump at the G7 leaders' summit to tell reporters that although the US had a legitimate beef with China, which had to be brought to a head, it needed to be resolved.
