Magellan’s Hamish Douglass says interest-rate risk is one of the most important questions for investors today – ranking just behind trade war worries in his list of concerns for markets – as Australian government bond yields fall to a record low.

The chief investment officer of Magellan Financial Group noted that bond yields around the world were trading at very low levels, with the Australian 10-year government bond yield hitting a record low on Wednesday of 1.48 per cent to briefly trade below the cash rate.
