How this column reads really depends on where you already sit. “Premium economy: now considered by one-third of corporate flyers” screamed a recent industry email. The Aviation Series Premium Economy report, by consultants 4th Dimension, found one-third of Australian businesses are now flying their people premium economy on medium-haul flights of six to eight hours and a further 5 per cent are considering it.

Now if this means your company has upgraded its travel policy from economy to premium economy: win! Indeed, high five. If, on the other hand, your employer is pushing you from business to premium, then condolences – pop out now to invest in a neck support pillow and chiropractor.
