GoDaddy tones down its 'sexy' (or sexist) side to target Aussie businesses
The local boss of global web domain name registry GoDaddy has said a new multimillion-dollar Australian ad campaign that targets the 60 per cent of small and micro businesses without a web presence will also serve as a push to finally jettison the tacky bikini babe image it built through Super Bowl ads in the US.
The campaign, featuring Home and Away's Ray Meagher who plays Alf Stewart, follows GoDaddy's past tactic of spending big on marketing, but this time there are no bikini models or graphic sexual innuendos in sight.
