But as he strutted the stage at Magellan Financial Group's inaugural gala dinner in Melbourne on Tuesday night, founder and investment guru Hamish Douglass was left with little choice but to embrace the animal work when a lone seagull suddenly flapped down from the roof and landed right next to him.
