The Oxford dictionary defines a “terrorist’’ as someone who favours violent and intimidating methods to coerce a government or a community. In Martin Place, in Sydney’s heart, on Monday Australians got a first-hand glimpse of the ugly face of what appears to be a case of Middle East-related terrorism, to what end is not clear at time of writing.
