The once industrial area west of Melbourne’s city centre is not considered a traditionally glamorous stay option. Marriott is looking to turn that around.
The lowdown The new-build $250 million Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands opened at 15 Waterfront Way late last year. The 189-room property is 2.5 km from the CBD in the once-industrial Docklands area, which is undergoing the full gentrification treatment.
