Virgin shows interest in Japan flights

The regulator in charge of assigning airport landing slots for international services has partially rejected a plea from Virgin Australia to extend its allocation between Brisbane and Tokyo, in rulings that give the first clue into plans for the relaunched carrier's international network.

Virgin, which exited voluntary administration in November, applied to lengthen two slots at Japan's Haneda Airport until October 2021 but only received approval until the end of March.
