Which hotel is Melbourne’s coolest? Two recent CBD entrants have stepped into the ring to vie for the title.

In one corner is W Melbourne, prodigy of the W Hotels camp, which has been taking on the world for more than two decades – cheered on by Millennials – with its brand of cheekily irreverent, high-energy luxury. In the other is Quincy Hotel Melbourne – the brand’s first property outside Singapore and a relative newcomer to the lifestyle hotel category that similarly markets itself to “social urbanites” as colourful and quirky.
