Fashion designers are often accused of living in ivory towers, out of touch with the way “real” women want to dress. Not Anna McLaren.
“I’m very commercially minded,” declares the 34-year-old Melbourne designer. “Always have been. There’s a strong business streak in me. Are we trying to drive trends? No. I don’t ever want our customer to feel like there’s this whole ‘new’ thing and she has to have it.”
